For the past year, I have been very busy working on a special project involving my Bratz Doll Collection. This special project has become known as the Bratz Heaven Room Renovation. It is, as you would expect, the remodeling of my bedroom and home office to become the Bratz Heaven headquarters. Among the many activities involved in the Bratz Heaven Room Renovation is the display of my Bratz dolls, as well as creating an environment for those dolls to be displayed in. In many ways, this room is like a Bratz museum.
My Bratz Doll Collection is very large, and I'm proud of the many dolls that I have collected over the past several years — including the first two Bratz dolls that I purchased in July 2004, Bratz Funk Out! Jade and Bratz Funk Out! Dana. I know there are many Bratz fans who have bigger (and better) Bratz collections than what I have. Conversely, I know there are many Bratz fans who have smaller Bratz collections than what I have. What difference does it make how many Bratz dolls every Bratz fan has? What matters is that they are experiencing the joy and excitement of being Bratz fans and collecting these ethnically diverse and beautiful dolls that have a passion for fashion. And, they are also helping a certain crazy Iranian guy who immigrated to the United States in 1971 become a very wealthy and very happy man.
I completed the first phase of my Bratz Heaven Room Renovation at the end of December 2009 (see the photos of this phase by clicking on this link). In mid-January 2010, I completed the second phase of my Bratz Heaven Room Renovation. This phase of the project features the Bratz Kidz dolls that I've collected, as well as the Bratz DVD movies that I've purchased and Bratz literature such as books and magazines. Currently, I am working on the third phase of this project, but that phase had to be put on hold because of the exciting announcement from MGA Entertainment regarding the Bratz 10th Anniversary Collection.
So while I figure out how I am going to approach this third phase of the Bratz Heaven Room Renovation, you can enjoy viewing some photos that I have captured of my Bratz Doll Collection from the second phase of this project. Unlike the first phase, there are not that many photos I captured of the second phase of my Bratz Heaven Room Renovation. This is because of what MGA Entertainment did to the Bratz Kidz in Spring 2008, when the company switched the fashions of the Bratz Kidz dolls from regular fabric clothing to plastic "Snap-On" clothing. I have no idea what MGA Entertainment was thinking when it introduced this otherwise pathetic concept, but it completely killed my interest for the Bratz Kidz. I have not purchased any Bratz Kidz or 4-Ever Kidz dolls since the switch was made, thus the Bratz Kidz products and collections illustrated in these photos are from Fall 2006 through Fall 2007. Amazing how MGA Entertainment released plenty of Bratz Kidz merchandise during that period.
Also, please note that I do NOT own every single Bratz product or Bratz collection ever released since the Bratz 1st Edition dolls from 2001. If you would like to view a list of the Bratz dolls that are in my collection, please click here. This list does not include Bratz products such as Bratz playsets or Bratz home décor — although, some of those products are displayed in the following photos. The photos I have captured of my Bratz dolls as part of the Bratz Heaven Room Renovation do not represent my entire Bratz Doll Collection.
